Brooch Frame DIY project!

This was as project I did a little big ago, and it took about 5 minutes for some great results! I NEVER throw away frames, so even if they are missing some parts–like the glass, for instance–I keep it. You never know what you’ll need it for. Confessions of a craft-woman.

Supplies I used:

Black frame 8×10 size with backing but without the glass

Burlap fabric (I had some laying around)

Fabric from an old mattress pad (for the padding) but you can buy this type of fabric if you need to

Scissors

Ruler

I measured and cut out the burlap and the padded fabric

I cut the burlap a little larger–about 1/2 inch than the padded fabric.

I then just put it into the frame and put the backing back on.

That is it!! The padded fabric is so you can pin on any pins or brooches easily. I don’t wear brooches all too often so this is a great way to display your collection on the wall.
